DS 4 EV 2024.

The new DS 4 EV will arrive next year. It will be followed by a completely new model based on the STLA M/Medium platform.

DS said the upcoming car will feature «exceptional technology and refinement» as well as «technical characteristics perfectly tailored to customer wishes.»

The company said the model will be offered with a 98 kWh battery that will offer a range of over 700 km.

The upcoming model will be produced at the Melfi car plant in Italy, where it will later be joined by a second DS EV.

Previous reports suggested that the first model would be a mid-size fastback, which could be called the DS 9.

The successor to the DS 7 is expected to arrive in 2025.
The automaker has previously spoken in detail about the STLA Medium platform and noted that the architecture will be used on electric vehicles, crossovers and SUVs in the C and D segments.

The platform is very flexible and can be used for models with a length of 4300–4900 mm and a wheelbase of 2700–2900 mm.

Cars based on this platform will be offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and generate from 215 hp. up to 382 hp

We can also expect Standard and Performance battery packs, with the latter having a range of over 700 km.

The new DS 4 will be based on the new original STLA Medium architecture.

Alas, more precise data about the car has not yet been revealed; all indicators are extremely vague.

It is known that the maximum battery capacity will be 104 kWh, and the range on one charge will not exceed 700 kilometers in the top version.

Nothing at all is said about the power of the power plant, however, according to official data disclosed during the presentation of Stellantis EV Day, the “medium” STLA platform is armed with electric motors from 170 to 245 horsepower.

Let us remind you that the current DS 4 is built on the basis of EMP2. The engine range consists of three petrol and one diesel engines.

Moreover, the hatch has an E-Tense hybrid package with a total power of 225 horsepower.

At the moment, there is only one electric car in the DS Automobiles model range — the compact crossover DS3 Crossback E-Tense, which does not show the best sales results.

However, DS is not sitting still and is already preparing 4 new electric crossovers.
