KIA K3 2024.
There is a new addition to the new KIA K3 family: the range now includes a hatchback.
Recently, the Koreans introduced the KIA K3 sedan, which is intended for the markets of Central and South America and is essentially the successor to the global Rio model.
By the way, the latter was offered not only as a four-door, but also as a five-door. Now the new K3 has also received a hatchback version.
In terms of exterior design, the five-door version differs from the previously presented sedan except in the shape of the body. As for the interior, there are no differences at all.
Like the sedan, the hatchback has a single panel on which the instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen of the multimedia system are located.
Note that the tidy here is virtual. In its central part there is a 4.2-inch color screen, flanked by hand-drawn scales.
Among the equipment required for the car, it is worth noting dual-zone climate control with ventilation deflectors on the second row, contour lighting (64 colors to choose from) and six airbags.
The five-door KIA K3 2024 has a simple chassis design: McPherson struts are installed at the front and semi-independent suspension at the rear. In terms of dimensions, it is noticeably superior to the similar Rio.
The presented hatch reaches a length of 4,295 mm (+ 230), with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm (+ 90).
Its width and height are 1,765 (+ 40) and 1,495 (+ 15) mm, respectively.
The trunk volume is stated at 390 liters. The Koreans themselves claim that this is a record figure in the class.
The hatchback relies on the same power units as the sedan. Specifically in Mexico, such a five-door can be ordered with two atmospheric “fours”.
We are talking about a 1.6-liter engine with 123 hp. (150 Nm) and a 2.0-liter unit with 152 horsepower (191 Nm).
The younger engine can work with both a six-speed manual and a similar automatic transmission, but the older one can only work with automatic transmission.
The hatchback will be produced at the Mexican Kia plant, where K3 sedans are already assembled.
It is unknown how much the five-door version of the model will cost, but for a four-door the Koreans are asking from $17,250 (1.7 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
The new product should go on sale in January twenty-fourth.
