Honda Accord Sportsline 2024.
The new Honda Accord has arrived in Japan as a hybrid sedan with a smart rotary dial.
The mid-size sedan has finally arrived on the domestic market, where it is available exclusively with the 2.0 e:HEV powertrain.
The 11th generation Honda Accord debuted in North America in November 2022, followed by a debut in China. It has not yet made its domestic debut in Japan.
That’s set to change next year when Honda announced the specifications and availability of the Accord JDM Hybrid, which will arrive at dealers in the spring of 2024.
The appearance of the model is almost identical to the American Accord, with the exception of a slightly different color palette (5 shades) and 18-inch alloy wheels.
There are some notable differences in the specifications and interior.
Japanese customers will receive the only self-charging hybrid e:HEV variant, combining a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a CVT gearbox.
Honda hasn’t announced power figures, but a similar setup produces 181 hp. and 315 Nm in Civic e: HEV.
The Accord is also available in non-electrified gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions in other markets.
A 2.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google built-in is paired with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.5-inch head-up display.
Safety equipment includes Honda’s latest Sensing 360 ADAS package, which is available for the first time in Japan. The kit is expected to receive an update in 2025.
Honda offers two optional visual upgrade packages for the Accord—Sportsline and Touringline.
These are complemented by various types of bumper extensions and side skirts, decorative side grilles, a rear diffuser and a spoiler in black or body color, combined with a new set of black or 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Bookings for the 2024 Honda Accord in Japan will begin in December 2023. The first deliveries are scheduled for spring 2024.
