Lexus has released pricing for the updated version of its GX SUV.

Japanese automaker Lexus has published prices for the updated version of its third-generation GX SUV for the American market.

Base model prices start at $64,250 for the Premium version and go up to $81,250 for the top-end Luxury+ variant.

Compared to its predecessor, the new 2024 Lexus GX looks significantly more expensive.

Thus, its starting price is almost $10,000 higher than the cost of its predecessor.

At the same time, under the hood there is now a 3.4-liter V6 biturbo with an output of 379 hp, replacing the previous naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V8. Torque also increased to 530 Nm.

As before, power is sent to all wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and low-range transfer case.

The hybrid modification has not yet been announced, but Lexus promises to add such an option to its lineup in the near future.

The first production Lexus GX 2024 will arrive at American dealers early next year, but the model will not be officially supplied to the Russian market.

However, fans of the brand can count on parallel imports through third countries.

For twenty-one years, the history of the Lexus GX was inextricably linked with the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, but the third-generation premium SUV debuted before its utilitarian brother.

This is probably how the Japanese corporation is preparing fans for a mini-revolution: the new GX is completely different from its predecessor, neither outside nor inside!

Lexus designers and engineers have made the GX more angular and masculine.

The angle of inclination of the front pillar has changed, the “prestige distance” from the front axle to the base of the windshield has increased, the hood is located almost parallel to the ground.

The picture is completed by monstrous rear-view mirrors and practical black inserts at the bottom along the perimeter of the body.

The new GX is much larger than its predecessor. The length has increased by 70 millimeters (to 5005 mm), the width has increased by 95 millimeters (to 2117 mm), and the wheelbase has been stretched by 60 millimeters.

At the top of the line was the factory off-road version of the Overtrail with 33-inch outer diameter mud tires, aluminum skid plates and an unpainted plastic body kit.

The basis of the Lexus GX is the TNGA-F frame platform, familiar from the “older” LX, Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Sequoia, as well as Tundra and Tacoma pickups.

The SUV has double wishbone suspension at the front and a continuous axle at the rear.

Option: Adaptive Variable Suspension AVS. All SUVs have permanent all-wheel drive with a Torsen center differential and an electronic transfer case with improved performance.

The new Lexus GX will go on sale in early 2024. The SUV will continue to be assembled at the Japanese plant of the Toyota concern in Takhara.

Prices have not yet been announced, but American journalists believe that the new product will cost from 60 thousand dollars (equivalent to 4.92 million rubles): comparable to the model of the outgoing generation.
