They announced the start of sales of the new 2023 Nissan Kicks crossovers, which have never been officially delivered to our country.

The car is offered for a minimum of 2.59 million rubles.

That is, the Japanese model, after arriving in Russia, has risen in price by about a million rubles in comparison with the price available on the American market.

This car is compact. Therefore, it is not surprising that only a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated unit is offered with it.

The declared power of the built-in motor is 124 hp. This crossover does not have all-wheel drive. The torque from the engine redistributes the variator.

The Japanese model, according to a recently published report, is one of the most reliable representatives of its class.

However, it offers a relatively small set of options. In particular, the car is equipped with standard security systems, a compact touchscreen, climate control and other equipment.

Recall that the e-Power system itself is a series hybrid.

This means that the internal combustion engine involved here acts as a generator. It is controlled by electronics, and an electric motor is responsible for the rotation of the wheels.

The second-generation e-Power powerplant still uses a 1.2-liter three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 82 hp. (103 Nm).

At the same time, the Japanese revised its control program: from now on, the electronics are trying to keep the crankshaft speed at a lower level, thereby minimizing the noise generated by the motor.

At the same time, while driving on bad roads or a freeway, where the overall noise level becomes slightly higher than usual, an increase in speed is allowed.

Such a solution allegedly makes it possible to make an internal combustion engine, which, in generator mode, operates at a constant speed, as imperceptible as possible to riders.

And the Japanese also installed a more efficient 136 hp electric motor on the front axle. (+ 7) and 280 Nm (+ 20).

All this had a positive effect on fuel consumption, which decreased to 4.35 l / 100 km (- 6.4%).

In addition, the restyled Nissan Kicks e-Power can now be ordered in all-wheel drive with an additional electric motor on the rear axle.

The latter produces 68 forces and 100 Nm of torque. It is connected to work only when necessary and can operate in the entire speed range.

The presence of an additional electric motor makes the all-wheel drive crossover 120 kg heavier than the base front-wheel drive.

In addition, this version of the model has a slightly smaller fuel tank — only 35 liters (- 6).

In Japan, the hybrid Nissan Kix 2023 can already be bought: it costs from $20,300 (from 1.17 million rubles at the current exchange rate), although its 4WD version is slightly more expensive — from 22,200 (1.28 million rubles).
