Well, Renault Scenic has turned from a compact MPV into a five-seater electric SUV: the world premiere of such an SUV took place today at the IAA Mobility exhibition in Munich.

By the way, the French announced the upcoming reincarnation of Scenic last year, showing the concept of Scenic Vision.

At the heart of the new electrocross is the CMF-EV platform, on which the Renault Megane E-Tech and Nissan Ariya are also built.

The length of the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric is 4470 mm, the width is 1864 mm, the height is 1571 mm, the wheelbase is 2785 mm.

The base Standard range is a 170-horsepower electric motor (280 Nm) and a 60 kWh battery.

The power reserve of such a Scenic is about 420 km in the WLTP cycle. From standstill to 100 km / h, the “standard” SUV accelerates in 9.3 seconds, the maximum speed is 150 km / h.

The High range variant is equipped with a 218 hp electric motor. (300 Nm) and a battery with a capacity of 87 kWh.

The range is already 620 km, and this performance weighing 1842 kg (the weight of the base cross is not indicated) will pick up the first “hundred” in 8.4 seconds. Maximum speed — 170 km / h.

Meanwhile, the CMF-EV platform provides for all-wheel drive (the installation of two electric motors), and some foreign specialized media believe that Scenic will subsequently have such a version, although Renault itself has not yet reported this.

The production of the new electrocross will be established in Douai, France, where the related Megane E-Tech is also made.

The Renault Scenic E-Tech electric will go on sale early next year, pricing has yet to be announced. «Green» Megane in France today costs from 38,000 euros (excluding benefits).
