Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 2023.
The “charged” Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing from the Hennessey studio has become noticeably more powerful.
American tuners from the Hennessey studio have prepared a modification program called “H1000” for the “charged” Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan.
It allows you to make the already productive four-door even more powerful.
From the factory, the model is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 LT4 compressor engine that produces 677 hp. (894 Nm), allowing the car to “shoot” from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.
On the modified car, the engine output was completely increased to 1,014 forces and 1,310 Nm of torque.
The tuners managed to achieve such a significant increase in horsepower through a whole range of measures.
In particular, they equipped the engine with new intake and exhaust valves, long-tube stainless steel manifolds, a “ported” cylinder head, larger heat exchangers and improved pushers.
The shop also ditched the factory Eaton supercharger for a more efficient one.
They also added proprietary Hennessey Engine Management Calibration firmware to the engine control unit.
It is reported that the thousand-horsepower version of the CT5-V Blackwing is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds and covering a quarter mile (402 meters) in 10.1 seconds.
By the way, according to these indicators, the sedan is comparable to top supercars.
It is important that the tuners provide a guarantee for a car modified in this way for a period of two years or 24,000 miles (38.6 thousand km).
The cost of the “H1000” package has not been specified, but it can be ordered exclusively on the CT5-V Blackwing, since simpler versions of the sedan are already equipped with V6 engines.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan is good without any tuning. It’s all about the engine — a supercharged V8 6.2 LT4, which develops 677 horsepower (894 Nm) and allows the car to catapult to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.
But the Hennessey Performance workshop decided that this was not enough, and developed a power increase package called H1000 for the four-door.
It increases the output of the V8 compressor to 1014 horsepower and 1310 Nm.
The acceleration time to 60 mph is reduced by exactly a second, and the car passes the quarter in 10.1 seconds — on par with the McLaren 720S.
The engine gets a ported cylinder head, new intake and exhaust valves, improved pushrods, larger heat exchangers, long-tube stainless steel manifolds and much more.
At the final stage, the factory Eaton supercharger is replaced with a more efficient one, and the proprietary Hennessey Engine Management Calibration firmware is poured into the engine control unit.
All this is covered by a 2-year or 24 thousand mile (38.6 thousand km) warranty.
However, the H1000 package itself is only compatible with the CT5-V Blackwing, since the regular CT5-V has a V6 under the hood rather than a V8.
