BMW X1 M35i xDrive 2023.

BMW X1 M35i: 300-hp version of the «one» from the M division.

Crossover BMW X1 (U11) received a “charged” version from the M-division of the Bavarian brand.

This is a modification with the “M35i xDrive” index, which differs from the existing versions of the model with the M-body kit on the outside only in separate elements.

For example, on such an all-terrain vehicle, a slightly different shape of the slots in the front bumper, and the spoiler relief on the fifth door has been changed.

Another car can boast of having an exhaust system with four round pipes. Wheels can be 19 or 20″.

The interior of the car is characterized by the presence of a sports decor. Multimedia works here on the basis of the new BMW OS9 operating system, which will later become available for other cars of the Bavarian brand.

In the list of options offered, it is worth noting the M-chairs, which have integrated headrests and logo illumination.

Under the hood of the new 2023 BMW X1 M35i xDrive is a 2.0-liter upgraded «turbo-four» equipped with improved injection, lubrication and ignition systems.

She also has a reinforced crankshaft and a new intake system, but no hybrid attachments (in the form of a starter-generator) are provided.

As a result, the power unit produces 300 hp. and 400 Nm, although on machines for the USA the return is declared at the level of 317 forces.

Thus, the “charged” version of the compact crossover turned out to be not even the most powerful in the X1 range (the electric iX1 xDrive30 with two electric motors produces 313 “horses” and 494 Nm of torque).

The engine works in tandem with a seven-speed dual-clutch robot.

In the presence of branded all-wheel drive xDrive with a clutch for connecting the rear axle and standard mechanical locking of the front differential.

The BMW X1 M35i xDrive weighs 1,740 kg in curb condition. It’s noticeably lighter than the aforementioned iX xDrive30 (2,085 kg). Due to this, this modification has the best dynamic characteristics.

From zero to hundreds, the crossover accelerates in 5.4 seconds (-0.2), and its speed limit is 250 km/h (the electric car has only 180 km/h). And the M-version is the most driver in the range.

The modification has a lowered suspension (-15 mm), in the design of which adaptive shock absorbers are involved (there is also an adaptive steering mechanism).

At the front are brakes with fixed calipers, four-piston calipers and 385mm discs.

Out back are 330mm discs and single-piston calipers. Compound brakes are available for an additional charge.

The start of sales of the new BMW X1 M35i xDrive is scheduled for the fall of the twenty-third.

The cost of the “charged” crossover is not advertised, but it is likely that they will ask for more than for the electric iX1 xDrive30, prices for which in Germany start at 55,000 euros (5.1 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
