Chrysler 300C 2023.

The «supercharged» Chrysler 300C is back to say goodbye.

After eighteen years of production, the well-deserved Chrysler 300 family is preparing for retirement: the 2023 model year will be its last.

There will be no farewell extravaganza for the «300» like the related Dodge Charger and Challenger models.

One model is called to celebrate the end of production, but what a model! The «charged» variant with the name Chrysler 300C is returned to the range.

In export markets, the index 300C was used for this model by default (including station wagons), but in America it was used only for powerful versions with V8 5.7 engine.

However, in 2020 Chrysler abandoned the 300C index, and since then sedans with a 5.7 engine are called Chrysler 300S. So, technically, the Ceska is back after a two-year hiatus.

However, in fact, the new Chrysler 300C 2023 model year is a reincarnation of the top version SRT, because under the hood — the same powerful 6.4-liter Hemi V8.

Chrysler stopped producing such sedans for the domestic market back in 2014, giving the niche of «charged» cars to Dodge brand, but for export (for example, for Australia) SRT version was made until 2019.

The new Chrysler 300C is equipped with the most powerful version of the atmospheric 6.4: it produces 492 hp and 644 Nm.

Of course, it doesn’t compare to the crazy performance of the Dodge compressor, but it’s a record for the Chrysler brand.

The sedan has an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive with a self-locking differential.

Contrary to the American tradition to keep silent about the dynamic characteristics, Chrysler gave the most important parameters: maximum speed — 257 km/h, acceleration time to 60 mph (97 km/h) — 4.3 seconds, and a quarter mile from a place the sedan travels in 12.4 seconds.

Other features include Brembo brakes with four-piston mechanisms on the front axle, an adaptive suspension, a sliding damper exhaust system and 20-inch wheels.

And the grille is adorned with a reimagined three-color 300C model logo.

At the same time, the sedan is richly equipped with leather interior with carbon fiber inserts, ventilation of the front seats, Harman/Kardon audio system (19 speakers), panoramic roof and much more.

Only 2,200 2023 Chrysler 300C sedans will be made, including 2,000 for the U.S. market and 200 for Canada.

Sales will begin in the spring, with a starting price of $55,000.

There will be no next generation of the 300C, and its place in the range, apparently, will be taken by the Chrysler Airflow electric car.
