Dodge has revealed a new electric car that will replace the Charger muscle car.

The 2024 Dodge Charger muscle car was the latest version of the legendary car, which can still be found on some Russian online platforms.

The American company decided to remove this model from its product line.

However, it is already preparing a successor to the Charger. This will be an electric car designed in a similar style.

The name of the serial version of the American new product has not yet been published.

But it is a somewhat simplified version of the Charger Daytona SRT concept that was shown last summer.

According to rumors, the American model will be equipped by default with a 410-horsepower electric motor, which will be located at the rear.

The manufacturer should also release a twin-engine modification with a total output of 680 hp.

It is reported that the official premiere of the American electric car will take place during 2024.

NaAvtotrasse also reported that the latest SUV from BYD, which recently entered the Chinese market, should be brought to Russia.

This car is equipped with a powerful hybrid and adaptive suspension.

The new Dodge Charger production model with round headlights will be released in late 2024.

The production version of the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept was shown in a holiday ad.

On January 13, 2024, Dodge presented the first images of the electric successor to the legendary Charger muscle car.

This summer, the last examples of the iconic Dodge Charger coupe and Dodge Challenger sedan with a powerful V8 engine rolled off the assembly line at the Stellantis plant in Canada.

Nothing is known yet about the successor to the Challenger model, but the appearance of the electric car that will replace the Charger has already been practically revealed.

The American automaker has published photos of a pre-production prototype based on the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept shown in the summer of 2022.

Visually, the car has undergone some changes compared to the prototype: now there are new side mirrors, a charging connector on the left rear fender, angular headlights and a spoiler on the trunk lid.

Of course, Dodge took a simpler approach to the Charger Daytona SRT’s design on its way to production. But the historical triangular emblem of Fratzog has fortunately been preserved.

There is no official information about technical specifications yet. It is obvious that at least a fully electric version will hit the market, but it will most likely be supplemented by hybrid modifications and options with a gasoline turbo engine.

According to insiders, a rear-wheel drive 410-horsepower electric car with a motor on the rear axle, an all-wheel drive 680-horsepower version with two electric motors, and a flagship 900-horsepower version are expected in the lineup.

All detailed information about the new product will be made public in the coming months, since the public premiere of the new generation Dodge Charger is planned for 2024. The legendary model is reborn in a new electric guise.
