Fiat Argo 2022.
The Fiat Argo 2022 has changed more than its sister sedan, but the hatch does not yet have a new box.
Restyling of the compact «five-door» can’t be called radical, and still it has much more exterior updates than the four-door Fiat. But a co-pattern sedan already has a variator, and a hatchback will get such a box later.
Last week we told about an updated Fiat Cronos sedan, now there was a premiere of a refreshed related hatchback Fiat Argo.
Recall, the budget cars are designed for South America, and they are produced at different sites: «five-door» since 2017 is produced in Brazil, and «four-door» since 2018 is collected in neighboring Argentina.
By the way, in the last country hatchback is not in demand (the result of 2021 — 1248 pcs., but the sedan there heads the rating of the most popular cars — 37,435 pieces), but in Brazil Argo last year ranked third in the overall list of bestsellers: 84 644 units sold (Cronos 23rd place with 27 887 copies).
After restyling the Cronos has changed point by point: the grille has two stripes instead of one and the disks have another design.
But the hatchback has more exterior updates. So, Fiat Argo got another front bumper, fog lamps are decorated in another way.
In addition, the «five-door» received a new grille — with «offshoots», supporting the headlights.
As in the case with the sedan, the body color palette was added with Strato Grey shade, plus new wheels.
The Argo lineup retains the Trekking cross-version with increased road trim, black trim and roof rails.
The upgraded «crossover» now has the original framing of fog lights and new stickers on the hood, sides and luggage door.
The only significant update in Argo interior is a steering wheel from Fiat Pulse model.
As before, the base hatchback has an air conditioner, a pair of airbags, ABS+EBD, ESC.
The arsenal of rich versions includes multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen, rearview camera and climate control.
At the end of last year the Fiat Argo in Brazil has lost the «atmospheric» 1.8 E.torQ (135 hp on gasoline and 139 hp on widespread there ethanol), along with him went and classic six-speed «automatic».
So, the standard hatch is offered only with an atmospheric «three» 1.0 Firefly (71 hp on gasoline and 75 hp on ethanol), and the cross-version is equipped with an atmospheric «four» 1.3 Firefly (98/107 hp — gasoline/ethanol).
Both engines are combined exclusively with a «manual», although in Argentina the updated Fiat Cronos will also use a variator.
Brazilian specialized media believe that CVT hatchback will still appear, but later: the delay is allegedly due to a shortage of components.
The price for restyled Fiat Argo in Brazil is in the range from $13,800 to $15,600.
