The all-new Hyundai Ioniq 6 2023 is ready for its official debut: Porsche style with unique features.

Press-service of South Korean brand has presented a teaser of the electric sedan Hyundai Ioniq 6 2023 model year. The car is positioned as an «electrified Streamliner».

Introduced back in 2020, the Hyundai Prophecy concept car caused a real furore among the automotive public, as it was a beautiful low model with a simple, yet attractive design.

Also this concept evokes the atmosphere of Porsche, and many thought that the production car created on its basis will not differ from the original.

This car should be a stylish Hyundai Ioniq 6 2023.

Followed by spy photos Ioniq 6, and with them some disappointment, as it became clear that the full production car will be quite different from the concept.

From all appearances, ground clearance of electric car will increase, and elegant rear will disappear.

Perhaps the strong difference from the concept led to the fact that the production Ioniq 6 has been created quite a long time, but it also may indicate that its official debut is not «far off».

The head of design department of Hyundai Sang Joop Lee gave some explanations about what influenced such a strong change in the appearance of the Ioniq 6.

Here, as noted, the role played by the skateboard-style platform, which led to an increase in ground clearance, and the change in design is associated with an increase in the interior space of the car.

In addition, Ioniq 6 will add significantly to the aerodynamics, which increased the length of the body and slightly changed the bumper and headlights.

These words are confirmed by spy photos, which give a clear understanding of the direction in which the headlights have changed and how the rear end has become more traditional.

However, there is some good news, which indicates that, unlike the concept, the battery pack in the production car has been increased from 72.6 kWh to 77.4 kWh.

The same 77-kilowatt battery is used in the KIA EV6, which offers a range of about 480 km without recharging.

Like all new Hyundai electric cars, the new car will be built on the E-GMP platform.

The new teaser of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 does not actually show the upcoming electric car.

Instead, the video tries to convey to viewers the general atmosphere of the car, showing examples of streamlined body elements. It ends with the slogan of the car: «Electrified Streamliner».

The design of the Ioniq 6 is inspired by the Prophecy concept with a sleek body. Its sleek lines give the car a streamlined shape that matches the way Hyundai advertises the new electric car.

Judging by the «spy» photos of the production version, the road-going Ioniq 5 will be very similar to the concept.

Camouflaged cars for development have panels on the body to hide the shape. However, the front end bears a strong resemblance to the show car.

The Ioniq 6 is built on the E-GMP platform, which is also the basis of the Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 GT.

This sedan reportedly uses a 77.4 kilowatt-hour battery pack.

The twin-engine version will have about 300 horsepower. There could also be an N Performance version, which would probably share 576 horsepower with the EV6 GT.

However, this car is unlikely to ever get to the Russian market, so all the above information can be considered no more than indicative.
