New Hyundai Solaris caught by photographers: the sedan will change its image.

The «four-door» of the Korean brand will have a more «adult» look.

The world premiere of the transformed model can celebrate this year, but it is still difficult to predict the terms of the Russian debut.

Hyundai’s compact sedan of the current generation debuted in 2016 in China, where it bears the name Verna.

In other countries the model appeared in 2017: here it is called Solaris, and in some markets it is Accent.

A full restyling of the «four-door» experienced in 2019-2020. (depending on the market). And now a new sedan is on the way.

Test specimens have already hit the Korean roads, and in the homeland of the brand model only run-in — there it has long been removed from sales.

Now there are fresh photos, they are posted on their pages in social networks community Shorts Car.

It is assumed that this Solaris will be positioned as a model of the next generation.

Even though the sedan has not yet got rid of camouflage, but still we can see that the appearance will become more solid.

In particular the rear window and trunk will be more sloping. In addition there will be relief inserts in the rear pillars and the headlights will be placed lower than in the current model.

By the way, it is not excluded that the headlights double-deck, although the next Solaris will not be the first «four-door» Hyundai with such a design solution (in the Chinese brand lineup is Mistra with double-deck optics, plus in Korea soon debuts the new Grandeur).

The interior is yet to be seen. It is possible that the sedan will get a new virtual «dashboard» and increased in size touchscreen multimedia system. Well, they can also be combined.

There is no information about dimensions of the new Solaris, as well as data about its equipment.

The length of our current Hyundai Solaris is 4405 mm, width — 1729 mm, height — 1469 mm, wheelbase — 2600 mm.

In Russia, the sedan is available with petrol «atmospheric» 1.4 MPI and 1.6 MPI capacity of 100 and 123 hp respectively.

Both engines are combined with six-speed «manual» or «automatic».

It is expected that the new sedan will be fully declassified by the end of this year. But exactly where the world debut will take place is unknown.

We wouldn’t bet on China as the «four-door» lost its buyers there, and we don’t exclude that the model will leave the «celestial» market.

Russia as a platform for the world premiere, for obvious reasons, is not suitable now.

In the meantime, the designer recently presented his vision of what the next-generation Hyundai Solaris could look like.
