The appearance of the serial crossover Jeep Wagoneer S 2024 has been revealed.
The Jeep Wagoneer S was shown as a concept car in the fall of 2022. Even then it was clear that under the familiar name belonging to a full-size frame SUV, there was hidden a much more compact crossover, and an electric one at that.
The other day, the Stellantis concern released the first image of the “face” of a production electric car.
And now, due to an error by the manufacturer’s PR service, full photographs of the production Jeep Wagoneer S electric car have been published on one of the social networks.
The images were quickly deleted, but concerned users managed to save them and share them with the whole world.
Although, most likely, this was a planned action by the Stellantis concern, which has already highlighted the Lancia Ypsilon and Dodge Charger models in a similar way.
The mid-size crossover shown in the pictures with streamlined body contours almost repeats the concept from last year.
The signature features of the Jeep brand have been preserved: these are the angular wheel arches and the seven vertical segments of the “radiator grille”, which are effectively illuminated.
The massive spoiler integrated into the roof pillars looks unusual, visually hiding the sloping roof and the blocked rear window.
Two years ago, at the presentation of the concept, some technical characteristics of the Jeep Wagoneer S crossover were outlined: all-wheel drive with two electric motors with a total power of 600 hp, acceleration to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 s and 640 km mileage on one charge.
These data have not yet been revised. And recently it was announced that the electric vehicle will be based on the new STLA Large platform, which relies on traction batteries with a capacity of up to 118 kWh.
It is possible that the Jeep Wagoneer S will also have versions with an internal combustion engine, because the STLA Large architecture allows this, but so far the crossover has been announced exclusively in an electric version and there is no talk of even hybrid versions.
The Stellantis concern emphasizes that the Wagoneer S will be the first electric vehicle of the Jeep brand on the American market, although in Europe this title has already gone to the local Jeep Avenger SUV.
The Jeep Wagoneer S should go on sale before the end of this year.
