How much does the new Kia Ceed 2022 cost in Russia: according to information on the website of the official dealer in Moscow, prices for the hatchback range from 1,634,900 to 2,179,900 rubles.

The car is sold in five configurations: Comfort, Luxe, Prestige, Premium, GT Line and GT Line+.

Technical characteristics of KIA Ceed 3 after restyling assume a 1.6-liter petrol atmospheric engine paired with a six-speed automatic, and also a new four-cylinder turbo-motor with working volume of 1.5 liter, which is a seven-band robot with two clutches.

The Prestige version flaunts the Kia Connect telematics system, which allows you to connect to the car from your smartphone. There are also diode taillights, keyless access, a combination interior upholstery, electric folding mirrors, rain sensor, electric windshield and rear seat heating, and a blind spot monitoring system.

In the Premium package, in addition to all other things added LED headlights, audio system JBL, servo trunk lid (wagon only) and 17-inch wheels, while the multimedia here is with a large screen of 10.25″ and regular navigation.

In the Russian market the restyled Kia Cid of 2022 model year is offered by default with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol motor producing 128 hp. (155 Nm) and a six-speed automatic.

With these units the car can accelerate from a place to a hundred in 10.5 seconds and its maximum speed reaches 195 km/h.

Top variant GT-Line has a 1,5-liter «turbo four» which develops 150 powers and 253 Nm of torque. Seven-speed robot DCT with two clutches works in a sheaf with it.

Acceleration from 0-100 km/h here is possible in 8.6 seconds, and the top speed is declared 210 km/h.

Driving impressions.

With the basic atmospheric motor the new Kia Cid 2022 drives decently, but no more than that. Any drive is out of the question here, especially if there are more than two people and a loaded luggage carrier on board.

But the turbo engine appeared in the course of restyling leaves exclusively positive impressions. With a top engine, the Korean five-door goes much more dynamically.

After the atmospheric engine it seems as if the auto has lost a couple of hundred kgs at once, though in fact the senior modification is almost 80 kg heavier than the base.

Thus, the turbo engine pleases with economy, showing the expense around 7-8 l/100 km.

As for the robot that goes together with it, there are no questions to its work: shifts are fast and logical, and even in a traffic mode.

The updated KIA Ceed 2022 also drives quite briskly, pleasing drivers with a sharp steering wheel and good maneuverability.

But the settings of running gear are far from ideal: suspension is sensitive to road trifles and notices even those cross-joints, which remain imperceptible to driver’s eyes.

Exterior and interior

After restyling, the hatchback got a different design of the front end: there is a new bumper, which has black side sections visually united with crosspieces with wheel arches.

The restyled model already has LED headlights, although the headlights bodies remain the same.

The headlights have three vertical sections, which serve as running lights and turn signals. The pre-reform cars have «four dots» instead.

During the update Koreans also expanded the color palette of the model with bronze, yellow, green and gray shades. Plus, other wheels with a diameter of 16 to 18 inches became available for the cars.

In turn the performance of KIA Ceed GT-Line and GT can be distinguished by the presence of pads on the bumpers and sills.

Plus they are put on the original lights with a matrix structure, each unit which involved 48 light cells capable of working in the mode of parking lights, turn signals and brake lights.

The interior of the Kia Cid 2022 in the course of restyling remained virtually unchanged.

Interior design of basic cars is totally boring and gray (the GT Line version is saved by metallic plates on pedals and truncated steering wheel from below), and according to the manufacturer the car is designed for young drivers aged 25 to 40.

Despite it, it is cosy inside. Base front seats are comfortable, and «sports» armchairs of top version will please you with more developed lateral support.

Certainly, they do not pull on full-fledged racing «buckets», but your back does not fall asleep in them even after several hours of uninterrupted driving.

Anyway, there are no questions about the seat in new Kia Cid 3, but the noise isolation of Korean remained as weak, and mainly the noise from tires, which becomes very loud when speeding up.
