It is reported that the Japanese company will increase the range by 25%. This is important because the Leaf’s successor will likely still be sold at a relatively low price.

Moreover, such a sharp increase in power reserve while maintaining an attractive price should increase sales of the Japanese model.

At the same time, the manufacturer does not disclose information on how the range of the car will be increased.

The Japanese company is moving to new, solid-state batteries in the coming years.

Their production will start next year. However, mass-produced electric cars with such batteries will appear no earlier than the middle of the decade.

That is, the new Leaf will be equipped with the same batteries.

The 2024 Nissan Leaf electric car received minor updates and an increased price tag.

The new 2024 Nissan Leaf electric car is already on sale in the US.

The electric car has a modified grille, new front bumper molding and headlight design, as well as other minor changes.

Inside, the base 2024 Leaf has «Bio Suede PET» upholstery and an 8-inch infotainment system.

The vehicle is equipped with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 system, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning and lane control.

The top-of-the-line Leaf SV also includes Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist and surround view cameras.

The base Leaf S is equipped with a 40 kWh battery that provides a range of 240 km.

Together with the battery, an electric motor works on the front axle with a capacity of 147 horsepower.

The Leaf SV Plus uses a 60 kWh battery that guarantees a range of up to 341 km. It takes 40 minutes to charge Leaf S to 80%, and 1 hour for SV Plus.

In the US, the base 2024 Nissan Leaf S is $29,235. The Leaf SV Plus version is priced at $37,285.
