Honda CR-V 2023.

It’s no secret that a new generation of the Honda CR-V crossover is set to debut in 2023. In this regard, we have gathered all the information that is currently known about the car, including renderings based on «spy» photos.

The Honda CR-V hit the market back in 1995. Today, the crossover is in its fifth generation after a slight facelift. In order to maintain the popularity of its model, the Japanese brand is preparing to release the sixth generation of the parkette.

It is already known that the car will get more mature look with reference to recently presented Civic. Judging by the renders, at the front the crossover will be equipped with a trapezoidal grille with a horizontal ledge connecting the matrix LED headlights.

The elongated hood will emphasize the power and dynamics of the new CR-V. The front and rear headlights will be visually connected by means of an obvious waistline. And the stern lights will become clearer and more detailed.

Judging by the prototypes, the new CR-V will be longer than the current model. Dimensions of the latter are 4623x1855x1690 mm, and wheelbase is 2660 mm.

The rear overhang of the novelty also looks longer, which in combination with other changes changes changes the proportions of the crossover compared to the model of the fifth generation.

As for the car’s interior, the manufacturer is expected to install a larger tablet infotainment display with wireless features and a Wi-Fi hotspot on the dashboard.

In September, the company confirmed that it is working with Google to integrate a connectivity service into the car.

In addition, the model will definitely get Honda’s proprietary Sensing suite, which includes lane-keeping assist, dynamic cruise control, traffic sign recognition and advanced autonomous omnidirectional emergency braking.

From the outset, the new Honda CR-V will not be an electric car. However, the crossover could get a plug-in hybrid system to compete with the Toyota Rav4 Prime and Ford Escape PHEV.

One option could be a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. The total output of this system will make 212 hp.

Undoubtedly, the Japanese company will also offer customers a self-loading hybrid. As in the current version, this variant will use 2.0-liter unit.

There should also remain modifications with a 1.5-liter inline turbocharged engine. All of these motors should be combined with an all-wheel drive transmission.

The official presentation of the new generation Honda CR-V should take place within the next six months. Sales of the updated crossover will start in the second half of 2022. I.e. Honda CR-V will be the model of 2023.

It is too early to talk about the price of the parketta. It is expected that the price of the car will not significantly increase compared to the current crossover.
