The Alpina B8 Gran Coupe 2023 follows in the footsteps of the BMW 8 Series with its luminous grille.
Alpina has unveiled its take on the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe with a slight update for 2023 with bright and colorful new details that reflect the changes seen in the recently refreshed 8 Series lineup.
Starting in March 2022, the Alpina B8 Gran Coupe will be available with BMW’s so-called iconic luminous grille, which softly illuminates the perimeter of the grille, highlighting the front of the car.
The tuning studio also said it will add more colors to the lineup by 2023.
Alpina Blue Metallic and Alpina Green will still be offered as exclusive shades, and the company will also add a variety of BMW and BMW custom paint finishes to its lineup.
First introduced in March 2021, the B8 Gran Coupe features a tuned version of BMW’s 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 engine that produces 621 hp/457 kW and 800 Nm of torque available at 2,000 rpm.
From the outset, the B8 Gran Coupe is capable of 96 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and 200 km/h in 11.6 seconds, with a top speed of 324 km/h.
As always, it is offered with slight exterior changes to look a little better.
The front fascia has large air intakes for better engine cooling.
At the rear, meanwhile, it gets a black diffuser insert and a rear spoiler lip to better manage the air.
It also has 21-inch Alpina Classic forged wheels with 20 spokes, which are wrapped in noise-reducing Pirelli tires to make the ride more luxurious.
Alpina also redesigned the suspension, offering luxurious comfort on long rides.
With reinforced crossbars, stiffer suspension strut mounts, a hydraulic front axle and Eibach springs, the B8 Gran Coupe is designed to be as comfortable as possible.
Prices for the updated model will start at €162,100 ($182,624 at current exchange rates) in Germany.
Prices in the U.S. have not yet been announced, but prior to this update, the model started at $139,900.
