The updated 7-seat BYD Tang EV 2022 is coming to the market: the exact dates of arrival to dealers have been announced.

On April 1 of this year, it was officially announced that the launch of sales of the new urban crossover BYD Tang EV 2022 will begin in May.

Compared to the last version of the car, the appearance, configuration and battery life have been improved.

The new model is in the BYD family design, using a closed front grille.

At the same time, narrow and sharp headlights on both sides are combined with a lower three-stage air intake.

The side profile is almost unchanged, but new low-resistance rims have been installed.

The roof has adopted a «soaring» design and the wheel arches have become slightly higher.

The abundant use of chrome parts adds refinement to the entire exterior of the car.

The rear of the new BYD Tang EV has retained a group of through-type lights, and thanks to the decorative trim on both sides, the feeling of movement is enhanced.

The interior of the new car retains a simple design style. The highlight of the cabin is the large central control screen, which features DiLink 4.0 (5G) intelligent network connectivity.

At the same time, the intelligent DiPilot driving assistance system has been upgraded.

The interior is designed in light gray tones with extensive use of soft coatings and the addition of lacquered elements on the center console.

The 6-seat version will have a scheme of arrangement of seats 2 +2 +2, where the second row is equipped with independent seats with an electric drive and has a function of heating, ventilation and massage.

There will also be a model with a seven-seat layout.

As for battery life, the single-engine long-range version consumes 15.6 kWh per 100 km under working conditions, and battery life under the CLTC standard reached 730 km.

The range of the four-wheel drive version is claimed to be 600 km.

The car is driven by an all-electric propulsion system consisting of two engines with 244 and 241 hp.

Working in tandem, these units allow the crossover to accelerate from a place up to a «hundred» in just 4.4 seconds.

There are two modifications, which differ in range. The «younger» version can travel 600 kilometers on a single battery charge, and the «older» one — 730 kilometers.
