Donkervoort F22 2023.: a spectacular 500-horsepower supercar weighing only 750 kg.
The Dutch company Donkervoort unveiled its first new model in more than 10 years — the F22 supercar, which is the successor to the D8 GTO.
It is interesting that the car was named after Denis Donkervoort’s daughter Philippa, who was born at the beginning of the twenty-second.
The new model has a new exterior design, but branded features of Dutch car brand has been saved (this is a long hood, exposed wheels and exhaust pipes taken out from the sides).
The supercar boasts fully LED headlights and butterfly wing type doors.
It has a removable carbon fiber roof «Twin Targa,» which allows turning the coupe into a roadster.
According to the developers, the new model is much more practical than the D8 GTO.
Thus, its two-seater cabin is noticeably more spacious, and Recaro seats installed here can be equipped with optional six-point safety belts.
The latter are suitable not only for racing, but also for everyday (road) use.
The front panel has a minimalistic digital dashboard, and as a touchscreen multimedia system the Dutch offer to use the iPad (available at extra charge).
Almost all functions are controlled from the steering wheel. The air conditioning is a paid option.
Donkervoort F22 2023 is based on a new hybrid chassis and has increased twice the rigidity of the body, due to which the higher level of passenger safety is promised.
The supercar achieves a length of 4,039 mm and weighs only 750 kg, although its predecessor is another 70 kg lighter.
It has a trunk with a volume of 298 liters. The model is powered by an Audi engine.
We are talking about a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine with an output of 500 hp and 640 Nm. That’s 58 hp and 70 Nm more torque than the outgoing D8 GTO Individual Series.
Traction is transmitted to the rear axle via a lightweight five-speed manual. There is a self-locking Torsen differential and ABS from Bosch.
The supercar has a double wishbone suspension at the front and rear. The chassis is equipped with adaptive shock absorbers TracTive and hydraulic system that allows raising or lowering the body by 35 mm.
As for the brakes, the car is equipped with four-piston calipers AP Racing, with 330-mm steel discs in the front and 279-mm in the back.
According to the manufacturer, the car is able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, and from 0-200 km/h — in 7.5 seconds.
Its speed limit is 290 km/h. Only 75 copies of F22 will be made, and 50 of them have already been pre-ordered. The cost of the model is 245,000 euros (16.1 million rubles at current exchange rate).
