By the way, this car is considered a replacement for the Mondeo (aka Fusion in the U.S. market), although the latter model is still in service in China.

In China, Ford Evos is still presented only with gasoline «turbo four» 2.0 EcoBoost, which produces 238 hp and 376 Nm.

The engine is paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic. It is possible that later the model will get a hybrid version.

Prices are in a range from 227,800 to 260,800 yuan, which is equivalent to about 2,557,000 to 2,928,000 rubles at the current exchange rate.

Thus, Ford Evos has appeared much more expensive than its main competitor — Citroen C5 X cross-liftback: they ask for the model of the French brand in China from 143,700 to 186,700 yuan (1,613,000 — 2,096,000 rubles).

A sedan Ford Mondeo costs from 192,800 yuan (2,168,000 rubles).

Note that at the moment the manufacturer has begun taking pre-orders for its novelty.

Commercial samples of the cross-coupe will be shipped closer to the end of this year. Evos has a non-standard for Ford models styling.

The novelty is distinguished by lengthened and low body with a sloping back, because of which it visually resembles a liftback.

In front, the cross-coupe has narrow headlights with elongated LED lights, located on top, and three segments of LED lights.

The sloped stern is crowned by a barely noticeable spoiler, along which runs a long and curving lamp, giving the rear of the body a non-standard look.

One of the main details of the cabin is a triple display, the diagonal of which reaches 1.1 meters. It consists of a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and two 27-inch touchscreen monitors.

The novelty is equipped with the latest version of the proprietary multimedia complex.

Also, the crossover is equipped with emergency braking protection, people detection, intelligent traffic control, lane keeping with the exit warning, driver fatigue control, frontal impact prevention and others.

Under the hood of the American novelty is a 2-liter supercharged engine of EcoBoost series.

Its power output reaches 238 hp with a maximum traction of 376 N*m. An eight-speed automatic transmission is offered in conjunction with this engine.

Despite the relatively high power, this unit is economical: its average fuel consumption is 7.5 liters.

According to preliminary data, the Evos is based on modified C2 platform (for example, the last Focus is built on the original «truck»), that is, the «five-door» has an independent rear suspension and front-wheel drive.

Length of the liftback is 4920 mm, width — 1920 mm, height — 1600 mm, wheelbase — 2945 mm.

For comparison, the length of Chinese sedan Mondeo is 4873 mm and distance between axles is 2850 mm. Alas, the Evos road clearance is not named, as well as the volume of the trunk.

The front end is designed in a style of Ford Equator crossover, which recently entered Chinese market: the liftback also received twin-tier optics, and it got similarly shaped radiator grille.

Also Evos has retractable door handles and united «dotted» rear lights.

Features of the ST Line variant (blue car on the brand pictures) — slightly more aggressive bumpers and pads on wheel arches in the body color (instead of black).

In addition, the Chinese are available «welcome» version with orange accents outside (white «five-door» in the photo). ST Line and First Edition versions have 20-inch wheels, while other versions have 19-inch wheels.
