By the way, this car is considered a replacement for the Mondeo (aka Fusion in the U.S. market), although the latter model is still in service in China.

In China, Ford Evos is still presented only with gasoline «turbo four» 2.0 EcoBoost, which produces 238 hp and 376 Nm.

The engine is paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic. It is possible that later the model will get a hybrid version.

Prices are in a range from 227,800 to 260,800 yuan, which is equivalent to about 2,557,000 to 2,928,000 rubles at the current exchange rate.

Thus, Ford Evos has appeared much more expensive than its main competitor — Citroen C5 X cross-liftback: they ask for the model of the French brand in China from 143,700 to 186,700 yuan (1,613,000 — 2,096,000 rubles).

According to preliminary data, the Evos is based on modified C2 platform (for example, the last Focus is built on the original «truck»), that is, the «five-door» has an independent rear suspension and front-wheel drive.

Length of the liftback is 4920 mm, width — 1920 mm, height — 1600 mm, wheelbase — 2945 mm.

For comparison, the length of Chinese sedan Mondeo is 4873 mm and distance between axles is 2850 mm. Alas, the Evos road clearance is not named, as well as the volume of the trunk.

The front end is designed in a style of Ford Equator crossover, which recently entered Chinese market: the liftback also received twin-tier optics, and it got similarly shaped radiator grille.
