Geely Coolray 2024.

Initially, this SUV debuted on its native Chinese market in the fall of twenty-two — in its homeland the car is known as Geely Binuyue, but for other markets it was renamed “Coolray”.

The updated 2024 Geely Coolray is primarily notable for its changed appearance.

He got different bumpers, and specifically the design of the front part of the body with a spindle-shaped radiator grille is now made in the fresh corporate style of “Energy storm”.

During the planned restyling, the Chinese crossover received narrower headlights and lanterns, the latter now being united by a luminous strip.

The car also got different door sill trims and moldings, plus the design of the wheel rims was changed.

As for the interior of the 2024 Gili Curley, it is completely new.

On the front panel, a 10.25-inch multimedia system display is installed by default, which now comes without a visor and is visually combined with a 12.3-inch multimedia system touchscreen.

In addition, the Chinese abandoned a number of original solutions familiar from the pre-reform version of the model.

For example, the geometric design of the central tunnel was abolished.

At the same time, a new transmission selector and a platform for wireless charging of smartphones appeared in the cabin. The base already has an audio system with six speakers.

In terms of dimensions, the new body of the Geely Coolray 2024 reaches a length of 4,380 mm, that is, it turned out to be 50 mm larger than the pre-restyling car. The increase in dimensions was facilitated by a new body kit.

As for technology, the developers abandoned the 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine, which produced 177 hp on cars for the home (Chinese) market. and 255 Nm of torque.

Instead, Geely Coolray was equipped with a new four-cylinder BHE15 unit of the same volume, developed by a subsidiary of Aurobay.

On Chinese-spec cars it develops 181 hp. and 290 Nm of torque.

For the Russian market, the engine was derated to 147 “horses” and 270 Nm. It works in tandem with the previous seven-speed robot with two clutches.

You can refuel with AI-92 gasoline. As before, the model can be exclusively front-wheel drive.

The acceleration time from zero to hundreds is not advertised, but the updated Coolray for China copes with the task in 7.6 seconds.

It is also somewhat more economical: according to the NEDC cycle, it requires only 5.8 liters of fuel per 100 km (-0.5).

You can buy the Geely Coolray 2024 in four trim levels at prices ranging from 2,594,990 to 2,934,990 rubles.

In the basic Comfort version, the crossover has 17-inch wheels, a light sensor, rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, cruise control, roof rails and LED DRLs.

This car also has ABS, ESP, traction control, hill assist, hydraulic braking assistance and front airbags.

Distinctive features of the next Luxury package are 18-inch wheels and a panoramic roof, and side airbags are also added here.

The Flagship version attracts attention with its two-tone body paint with black pillars and roof.

The crossover is equipped with a spoiler and has vertical LED DRLs integrated into the front bumper.

The list of its equipment is further expanded due to all-round visibility with a “transparent hood” function, front parking sensors, a number of security systems and a four-channel video recorder.

The top version of the Exclusive boasts alloy wheels of an original design and an exclusive body shade called “Purple Mother of Pearl”.

The price of the updated Geely Coolray 2024 has not yet been announced, but it will probably be somewhat more expensive than the existing version, for which they are asking from 2,329,990 rubles. Restyled crossovers will be delivered to us directly from China.

The pre-reform model will remain in service and will be sold in parallel under the name Belgee X50. The assembly of the latter was recently localized at the Belarusian enterprise Belji.
