The Genesis G70 2024 is preparing for the official debut in its homeland.

With the update, the sedan has become not only more interesting in appearance, but also more powerful.

In terms of design, it offers two original shades — Kawah Blue and Bartna Gray, as well as new wheels of two types — 18 and 19 inches.

The brand nameplate has also been updated. In general, the sedan looks quite stylish and luxurious.

As for the interior decoration, there are also several upgrades.

So, the center console, which acquired the HVAC panel, is decorated in a different style.

Due to this, the number of standard keys is reduced, since most options are controlled via multimedia.

The front seats are heated and ventilated. The rear-view mirror in the cabin is frameless.

Of greater interest is the «stuffing» Genesis G70. So, a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine is available for the sedan, the power of which corresponds to 300 horsepower.

And it goes already in the initial versions. The wheels are complemented by powerful Brembo brakes.

As an option, a 3.3-liter engine is available, the characteristics of which remain the same.

A new climate control panel has become available for the Korean model. It has a small touchscreen and analog buttons instead of the previous three round knobs.

The list of basic equipment of the car was expanded due to the ventilation of the front seats and heated rear seats, which were previously offered for a surcharge.

As for technology, the 2024 Genesis G70 received a new 2.5-liter T-GDI turbo engine from the Smartstream family.

Previously, it was placed on the KIA Stinger platform liftback, but recently the latter was retired.

The sedan received this unit in the most forced version — by 304 hp. and 422 Nm.

It works in conjunction with the «old» eight-speed automatic, and the drive of the machines can be either rear or front.

Note that such a motor has also become available for the G70 Shooting Brake station wagon, although four- and five-doors with a new engine are currently available exclusively on the home (Korean) market, and they are basic modifications in the range.

In parallel, the developers have also expanded the list of standard vehicle equipment.

In addition to a powerful engine, they received an adaptive suspension and reinforced Brembo brakes. And for cars, the Sport + driving preset has become available.

In the export markets for sedans and station wagons with a new engine, it’s not worth waiting for yet — the old 2.0 turbo engine has remained in service. Recall that it is available in two boost options — 197 and 252 hp.

The range of the upgraded model also retained the 3.3-liter V6 T-GDi with 370 hp. (510 Nm).

There is also a 2.2-liter turbodiesel that develops 202 horsepower and 441 Nm, but it is only available in export markets (mainly in Europe).

The cost of the car is declared at the level of 2.601-2.893 million rubles.
