The new HYUNDAI Bayon crossover is being assembled in Kazakhstan.
This parkette with an atmospheric engine under the hood will go on sale this fall.
The production of Bayon crossovers has started in the walls of Hyundai Auto Kazakhstan.
We are talking about a pilot batch of all-vehicles designed for dealer test drives. Mass production of the novelty will start in October.
This month the crossover will be available for purchase. It is known that the novelty will be available in a single package with a 1.6-liter 100-horsepower «atmospheric» and a 6ACP.
Hyundai Bayon was officially introduced in 2021, until then it was produced at the Turkish plant Hyundai Assan Otomotiv San ve Tic. Now the model is assembled in Kazakhstan.
The variant for Europe gets a completely different lineup of engines. The base model is 84-horsepower 1.2 MPi Smartstream, combined with a 5-MCP.
An alternative variant is a liter 129-horsepower turbo, completed with 48-volt starter-generator. Transmission is a «robot».
The list of options «Kazakh» Hyundai Bayon signs climate control, multimedia with an 8 or 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital «dashboard» 10.25 inches, side airbags and curtains, adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel and heated front seats, useful driving assistants, and more.
The price of the new model is promised to be announced closer to the launch of sales.
Almaty plant Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan has already begun production of a pilot batch of Hyundai Bayon, in September, these cars will come to local dealerships for a test drive.
Mass assembly of crossovers will start in October, and sales will also start then, according to Astana Motors (its affiliate Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan).
Hyundai Bayon is more compact than our Kreta, its length is 4180 mm, width — 1775 mm, height — 1500 mm, wheelbase — 2580 mm.
In Kazakhstan the new model will be offered only with gasoline «atmospheric engine» 1.4 MPI (100 hp) and six-speed «automatic transmission».
Let’s note that in Europe Bayon still has a liter «turbo», in addition, there the cross can be in the form of a «soft» hybrid. But the model has not a full drive — only front one.
