At the beginning of this week, the Korean company distributed the first teasers of the future novelty, which demonstrate the main elements of the exterior and allow us to imagine what the sedan will look like.

The Solaris model was first presented in 2010 at the International Moscow Motor Show as a concept, and at the end of the same year, mass production of a budget sedan began.

It has become a localized version of the Accent model for the Russian market, which is offered in the markets of North and South America, and in China it is sold under the name Verna.

In 2017, the premiere of the second generation Solaris took place, and three years later the model received a restyling.

Now the Korean company is preparing a new generation of state employees, and earlier test samples were repeatedly seen by photo spies during tests.

Now we have at our disposal teasers of the future novelty, allowing you to see some interesting details of the appearance of the car.

The most characteristic element can be considered a horizontal LED strip, stretching across the entire width of the front.

A similar element was previously received by several other novelties of the company, including the futuristic Staria minivan, the Grandeur flagship sedan and the second-generation Kona crossover.

The main headlight units will be located in the bumper and visually combined with a wide grille.

The sides of the car are designed in the style of the current Hyundai Elantra sedan.

Behind the new Solaris will be easily recognizable by the original lamps with a luminous strip between them and vertical «fangs» at the ends.

The main production site for the new sedan will be India, where it will be produced under the name Verna.

The car will be available with two petrol engines — atmospheric 1.5 MPI and turbocharged T-GDI of the same volume.

The base transmission for both options will be a 6-speed “mechanics”, the atmospheric version can also be equipped with a CVT, and the turbocharged version with a 7-speed dual-clutch robotic transmission.

The premiere of new items is expected in the coming weeks.

Today in Russia, official prices for the current Solaris start at 1,408,000 rubles (1.4 MT, 100 hp).

A more powerful 123-horsepower version 1.6 with a 6-speed «automatic» will cost at least 1,554,000 rubles.
