But the German manufacturer decided to please the public and published a series of official sketches of the crossover. It was also confirmed that the debut of the car will take place in a few weeks.
The appearance of the SUV should receive some improvements that will make it more modern and sporty.
The car will be equipped with a new front bumper, an updated hood, and the manufacturer will also offer fresh body colors and wheel designs.
It was also confirmed that a new 12.0-inch touch screen multimedia complex will be installed in the interior of the German electric car.
It will integrate a module for over-the-air OTA updates. In addition, the car will receive new driving assistants that increase driving safety and V2L technology.
Of the equipment laid down by the German model, a bidirectional charging system can also be noted.
With its help, the ID.3 battery can be used to recharge household appliances and other devices.
However, its use will reduce the maximum autonomy for travel. It is also confirmed that the cross will receive the latest generation of control software.
The Volkswagen ID.3 is produced at two factories in Germany. The company has converted its Zwickau headquarters to electric vehicles, but its assembly lines have reached their limits with the release of the ID.4, ID.5 and CUPRA Born.
Therefore, part of the production had to be moved to Dresden. Production of the facelifted version of the SUV should begin in the fall of 2023. However, the car will enter the market as a 2024 model.
