Chery Jetour T2 2024.

Brutal crossover Jetour T2 with all-wheel drive in Russia.

In our market, the new model is available with a 2.0 turbo engine; there are two decent configurations to choose from.

The Jetour brand, which started in Russia last year, which is owned by Chery, announced the expansion of the local range: the front-wheel drive crossovers Dashing, X70 Plus and X90 Plus were joined by another SUV — the brutal all-wheel drive T2.

The presentation of the new product was held in Moscow. By the way, T2 is the export name of the model; in its native China it is known as Traveler.

Despite its harsh appearance, the Jetour T2 is a crossover with a monocoque body and a transverse engine.

The length of our version is 4785 mm (with a standard external spare wheel, without it — 4612 mm), width — 2006 mm, height — 1880 mm, wheelbase — 2800 mm.

The passport ground clearance is 220 mm. The trunk volume is 580 liters, with the backs of the second row seats folded down this figure will increase to 1494 liters.

The model comes exclusively with a five-seater interior.

On the domestic market, the basic crossover is available with a 1.5 turbo-four and front-wheel drive, but in Russia there is no such option.

Our Jetour T2 has a 2.0 TGDI petrol turbo engine with a power of 245 hp. (375 Nm), a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches and all-wheel drive.

The engine can be “powered” by AI-92. Note that in China the Traveler still has a classic eight-speed automatic transmission from Aisin: according to preliminary data, such a box will also be available in the Russian Federation, but later.

All-wheel drive is with a BorgWarner multi-plate clutch on the rear axle, which is complemented by an electronically controlled locking differential (eLSD) rear differential.

There are seven driving modes, plus there is an off-road low-speed cruise control mode (7-15 km/h).

It is stated that our crossover will reach the first “hundred” in 8.7 seconds, the maximum speed is 180 km/h.

Jetour T2 is available to Russian customers in two trim levels – Voyage and Expedition.

The list of equipment of the basic version includes: metal crankcase protection, plastic fuel tank protection, LED optics, 19-inch wheels, heated mirrors, windshield and windshield washer nozzles, heated steering wheel and all seats, 10.25-inch virtual instrument panel, multimedia system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, dual-zone climate control, six airbags, all-round cameras and cruise control.

The second version includes 20-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise, auto braking, lane keeping, blind spot monitoring and traffic jam assist.

The price of Jetour T2 Voyage is 3,759,000 rubles, T2 Expedition will cost 3,999,000 rubles.

For comparison, an all-wheel drive Haval Dargo X with a rear differential lock costs 3,349,000 – 3,549,000 rubles (2024 onwards, excluding shares).
