Koenigsegg has shown the first road prototype of the Gemera «family» supercar.

The Swedish manufacturer of very fast cars showed a video of the first road prototype of its new four-seat hypercar.

Koenigsegg has shown the first road prototype of its new four-seat Gemera hypercar on video for the first time.

In the published video, the brand’s CEO Christian von Koenigsegg talked about the new car and even drove it for a bit.

It is worth noting that the video showed us a very early prototype of the car — the car has a partially interior, lacks door cards and airbags, and is equipped with an untuned engine, transmission and exhaust system, which has also yet to be addressed.

Recall that Koenigsegg first started talking about a «family» hypercar in 2020.

Then, at one of the motor shows, a concept was presented, and the CEO of the brand told what motorists should expect from this car.

The design of the Gemera is quite interesting — the novelty is equipped with a hybrid power plant on the basis of a 2-liter turbocharged engine.

It is additionally equipped with three electric motors, the total capacity of the installation is 1,700 hp and 3,500 Nm of torque.

Thanks to this the car is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds and its maximum speed is 400 km/h.

On electric power alone, the hypercar can travel up to 50 kilometers, with a maximum speed of 300 km/h.

Among other things, Gemera has an all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring, as well as a fully steerable chassis.

Note that Gemera has not only a three-zone climate control, but also a large screen multimedia system, a display for second row passengers, four cooled and heated cupholders and wireless charging system for gadgets.

A luggage set will be available to the brand’s customers for a fee.

Totally 300 Koenigsegg Gemera will be produced. The cost of the car, as well as the start date of sales are not known yet.
