Nissan Pathfinder 2024.

A completely different Nissan Pathfinder  2024 has gone into production.

This is a crossover for the Chinese market with the same engine as the Infiniti QX60.
Serial assembly of the Nissan Pathfinder has begun in China, but of a different type.

The new model, which will go on sale in China in 2024, is radically different from the familiar Pathfinder: it has a different body, engine, exterior and interior design, and is produced by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture.

Russians should take a closer look at this crossover, since it is likely that it will appear here too, because at least one model with the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture is already being supplied to us — the DF6 pickup.

The Chinese Nissan Pathfinder is larger than the model of the same name in the USA (which, by the way, was expected in Russia last year), while the number of seats for the crossovers is the same — there are seven of them according to the 2+2+3 scheme. Later there will be a six-seater option.

If the American Pathfinder has a combination of a 3.5-liter V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission, then the Chinese “namesake” has a 2.0-liter engine under the hood that develops 252 horsepower — a similar unit is installed on the Infiniti QX60 for the Chinese market.

It works with a CVT, and the drive can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Nissan cars are returning to Russia thanks to another Chinese joint venture — Zhengzhou Nissan. So, at the beginning of December, the Venucia D60 Plus sedan, also known as the Nissan Sentra, went on sale. The model costs from 2.54 to 2.96 million rubles.

This Nissan Pathfinder can officially come to Russia: it is larger and more economical than the global version.

Serial assembly of another Nissan Pathfinder has started in China

Production of the updated Nissan Pathfinder SUV has begun at the plant of the Sino-Japanese joint venture Dongfeng-Nissan.

The car, intended for the Chinese market, is radically different from the American version in design and technical characteristics.

It is possible that this model will soon appear in Russia thanks to parallel imports or through the efforts of the official distributor of Dongfeng in our country, the Motorinvest company.

However, the start of sales of the updated Pathfinder in China itself is scheduled only for the first quarter of 2024, so Russians will have to be patient.

Unlike the American version, equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission, the Chinese version received a 2-liter turbocharged unit with 252 hp, paired with a CVT.

All-wheel drive is retained, but it is not provided in the basic configuration.

The dimensions of the new Nissan Pathfinder for the Chinese market are 5130 x 1981 x 1767 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. That is, the Chinese version is 126 mm longer than the American one. There are seven seats inside.
