Land Rover Defender 130 2023 made its debut: the wheelbase is the same as the 110, the rear overhang is 340 mm larger.

The Land Rover company began production of the legendary model back in 1948.

Initially the car was called simply Series I, II, III, and as a prefix it had an indication of the size of the wheelbase in inches — 88 and 109.

Then, in 1983, the SUVs were renamed simply Land Rover 90, 110 and 130 (this index also depended on the distance between axles).

Seven years later the model was called Defender. However, the era of «classic» Defenders is already over: the last copy rolled off the assembly line of the plant in Great Britain at the beginning of 2016.
