Skoda Enyaq vRS 2024.
The Skoda Enyaq vRS crossover has become more powerful and longer-range in the 2024 model year.
The update affected both the “regular” crossover and the version with a coupe-like body.
Accepting orders for refreshed SUVs will begin before the end of this month.
The Czech brand Skoda, owned by the Volkswagen concern, introduced its first all-electric crossover Enyaq in September 2020, and the Enyaq Coupe version debuted in January 2022.
SUVs were also presented in “charged” versions: they have their own addition to the name – vRS.
Now the manufacturer has updated the “hot” electric vehicles until the 2024 model year: the changes affected the technology.
Top versions — Skoda Enyaq vRS and Enyaq Coupe vRS — are equipped with dual-engine power plants (one electric motor on each axle).
The total system power of the 2024 model year crossovers has increased to 340 hp. (41 hp more).
Now Czech electric SUVs need only 5.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds” (1.0 seconds less).
The company explained that the modernization of electric motors, as well as new software responsible for managing the power of the system, made it possible to achieve an increase in the range of the 2024 model year Enyaq.
At the same time, the battery capacity remains the same and is 77 kWh.
Thus, the cross-coupe’s maximum range on one charge according to the passport is now 547 km (when calculated using the WLTP cycle), which is almost 26 km more than its predecessor.
And the “regular” Enyaq vRS of the new model year has a range of 540 km without recharging, which is 24 km more.
Another improvement is that the amount of time spent charging the traction battery has been reduced.
For the 2024 model year, electric crossovers will take about 28 minutes to fill from 10 to 80 percent using a 175 kW or higher DC charger (eight minutes less than current versions).
The updated models received a revised infotainment system and a virtual instrument panel with an updated interface.
Screens showing battery level and climate control settings have been redesigned to make them easier to control while driving; SUVs also changed the graphics of the navigation system.
The list of standard equipment of the “green” crossovers Enyaq vRS 2024 model year has been replenished with new driver assistants, rear side airbags, USB-C charging ports for rear passengers, etc.
Electric cars still have two additional packages available for an additional fee — Advanced and Maxx, which have now become cheaper.
Skoda dealers will begin accepting orders for the 2024 Enyaq vRS and Enyaq Coupe vRS by the end of this month, prices will be announced later.
On the domestic market, the current “charged” crossover costs at least 1,644,900 CZK, and for the coupe-shaped version they ask for at least 1,704,900 CZK.
