Nissan X-Trail 2021.

The highly anticipated new body of the 2021 Nissan X-Trail has finally made its global debut. Official photos of the exterior and interior allow us to understand that a lot of work has been done on the new generation of the crossover, the interior revolution was especially pleasantly surprised.

New model overview

The third generation of the compact crossover Nissan X-Trail has been produced since 2013, which, by modern standards, is an extremely long period, because, as you know, numerous competitors do not sleep!

So far, it is only known for certain that the 2021 Nissan X-Trail (in North America — Rogue) is undergoing a full modernization, which will affect both the external and internal design of the car.

The Japanese are carefully hiding the details of their modifications, and will continue to do so throughout the year, since the expected premiere of the new generation of the X-Trail will tentatively take place in the fall of 2020. However, this does not prevent enthusiasts from making their «predictions».

Exterior

According to one European automotive magazine, the core design of the front end of the 2021 Nissan X-Trail will be set by Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille, which will be larger and more angular than ever.

In doing so, its tops almost blend together with the slim LED daytime running lights. The main optics will be presented in the form of almost rectangular lamps, located directly above the side air intakes. The lower air duct will be made in the color of the rest of the body kit, which will visually raise the entire front end.

The front and rear fenders of the new 2021 Nissan X Trail body will be moderately «inflated», and together with the angled C-pillars and black contrast roof, they will form a rather bold youthful design, where large wheel arches with expressive protective plastic frames will fit perfectly.

At the rear, the crossover will receive a short bumper, above which boomerang-shaped lights will be placed. In addition, the crossover can be decorated with double tailpipes of the exhaust system, however, on test specimens they were clearly purely decorative.

Salon

Judging by the fact that the interiors of the tested Nissan X-Trail 2021 crossovers are completely hidden under dense camouflage covers, the manufacturer is preparing global changes.

First of all, we should expect the appearance of a large multimedia system screen, an electronic dashboard and a modified transmission shift lever.

There are also suspicions that the central tunnel will significantly increase in size, and at its highest point it will rise even above the driver’s knees.

Technical stuffing

Europe expects that the base engine of the new 2021 Nissan X Trail crossover model will receive a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline unit, and one of the new engines will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with variable compression technology, which prepared specifically for the Infiniti QX50.

Here is the possible appearance of «soft» hybrids, which will appear in the line of installations created by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance.

When will the Nissan X-Trail be released in Russia?

An all-wheel drive modification will cost 250-300 thousand more, but a crossover with a 1.6-liter diesel engine (130 hp) will «pull» almost 1.9 million.
