Dongfeng Nano Box: the Chinese version of the Renault City K-ZE budget electric car.
Dongfeng introduced an electric budget model Nano Box, which is actually the closest relative of Renault City K-ZE and Dacia Spring.
The model has a modern exterior design, but its appearance can not be called original, as a number of exterior panels are taken from Renault Kwid / City K-ZE.
In particular, there are «French» wings, doors and trunk lid.
Chinese crossover has its own front bumper with large side sections, where the main units of headlights are located.
And it also has narrow LED strips, and they are again from Renault.
Note that the color palette of the model is represented by only four body shades, which at the same time are complemented by white or gold accents.
But the interior of the Nano Box is already its own, without any borrowings from the outside, and the designers have managed to perfectly disguise the budgetary nature of the model.
There is a 7.0-inch tablet of the digital dashboard and 10.0-inch touchscreen of the multimedia system on the front panel.
Well, the central console has a climate control unit with knobs, as well as some physical buttons.
Dongfeng Nano Box 2023 reaches a length of 3,723 mm, width — 1,579 mm, and height — 1,515 mm.
In other words, in terms of dimensions it is largely similar to the French models. Well, its wheelbase is identical — 2 423 mm.
The crossover is powered by a single 44 hp (125 Nm) electric motor installed on the front axle.
Power for its work it gets from a 27.2 kWh battery, which provides up to 331 kilometers of range (CLTC).
Dongfeng notes that it takes just 30 minutes to charge the battery from 30 to 80%. In turn, a full charge of the battery will take about 4 hours.
The electric car has ABS, EBD, rear Parktronic, air conditioning and remote access, allowing the owner to interact with the car through a smartphone.
Prices for the model start from 65,700 to 71,700 yuan (from 555,000 to 605,000 rubles at the current exchange rate).
For the first day of the electric car more than 10,000 orders have been received.
