Renault Taliant 2024.

Renault Taliant, Logan’s successor, ceased to be exclusive two years after its premiere.

The French brand has finally expanded the sales geography of its budget four-door. In some places, the model is offered with a non-alternative liter turbocharged engine.

The premiere of this sedan took place back in 2021. Previously, it was believed that it would be sold as the third generation Renault Logan, because the car is a redesigned version of the “third” Dacia Logan.

However, the French company decided to position the four-door as a separate new model called Taliant.

The budget car with a renault diamond made its debut in Turkey, and only there has it been offered so far.

Now the Renault Taliant has finally ceased to be exclusive: orders for the model have begun to be accepted in Egypt, in addition, it has been announced in Ghana.

Let us remind you that the sedan is based on the CMF-B platform. Externally, the Renault four-door differs from the original Dacia Logan in the design of the front and rear: the Taliant has an original radiator grille, headlights and taillights.

The dimensions of the cars of the French and Romanian brands are the same: length – 4396 mm, width – 1848 mm, height – 1501 mm, wheelbase – 2649 mm.

Taliant ground clearance is 161 mm, trunk volume is 528 liters.

Well, for comparison, here are the dimensions of the Russian defunct second-generation Renault Logan: 4359/1733/1523 mm, the distance between the axles is 2634 mm, the trunk volume is 510 liters.

The interior of the Renault Taliant is generally the same as that of the Dacia, the difference is in the details. For example, the “French” has a different steering wheel, and in addition, the air deflectors are designed differently.

Depending on the configuration, the Renault sedan is equipped with: a multimedia system with an 8-inch tablet, front and rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, four airbags, climate control, cruise control.

In Turkey, the Taliant is today available with three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol 1.0 SCe (65 hp) and a 1.0 TCe turbo engine (90 hp), plus there you can buy a car with a gas turbocharged version.

Transmissions – manual or variator (depending on the engine). But in Egypt, the model is offered only with a 1.0 TCe petrol turbo engine in combination with a CVT, and there the engine is more powerful — 100 hp.

There are no prices on Renault’s Egyptian consumer website yet. For example, the senior Renault Megane sedan, in terms of our money, now costs somewhere between 2,916,000 rubles.

It is likely that Renault Taliant will appear in other countries in Africa and the Middle East later.

For Russia, it was also planned to replace the “second” Logan, although it is not a fact that our new sedan would replicate the Taliant in appearance.

However, now all Renault models in the Russian Federation have only a “parallel” future.
