Toyota has announced a special version for the model GR86: the first photos of new items.
Following the addition of a manual transmission to the new Supra, Toyota has decided to update another legendary sports model.
The Toyota GR86 2023 Special Edition gets several exterior changes.
The body of the car is painted a bright orange shade, which makes the model extremely noticeable on the road. But this is not the only update.
Another exhaust system has been added, producing an impressive sound.
There are black tips with GR lettering on the ends of the pipes. The 18-inch rims are painted matte black, creating a beautiful contrast to the bright bodywork.
There’s also a black spoiler on the rear and two stripes that hint that the car is sporty
There are fewer changes to the interior, owners will see special badges in the same orange hue.
Since this edition is based on the Premium package, inside we can expect a 7-inch dashboard and an 8-inch entertainment system screen.
There will also be a leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals and heated sports seats for extra driving comfort.
A total of 860 copies will be produced, each of them will get the familiar 2.4-liter gasoline engine.
It develops 228 horsepower. To pair it with a choice of automatic or manual six-speed gearbox, which will transfer all the power to the rear wheels and have a self-locking differential.
Along with the news about the special edition, Toyota has announced a new racing competition, which will be held on GR86 models adapted for racing.
Participants will compete for a prize pool of $1,000,000 (61,610,000 rubles).
