Everything you need to know about the new 2022 Changan Avatr 11 crossover.

At the end of last year, Changan unveiled the latest Avatr brand, which debuted simultaneously with the electric crossover with the index 11.

This model was the first product that involved Huawei and CATL besides the Chinese manufacturer in its development.

The former company provided its software and the latter provided the batteries.

The Avatr 11 2022 will hit the home market in the fall. Whether the model will appear in other countries is not yet reported.

The Avatr 11 has a non-standard body and platform configuration for modern electric crossovers.

The basis for the Chinese model was the CHN architecture of its own design.

The platform is flat-bottomed, with the battery mounted, and a slightly protruding front and rear section reserved for installation of electric motors.

This configuration is expected to provide maximum stability and, as a result, excellent maneuverability.

Changan a few days ago published slightly shaded photos that reveal the exterior and interior of the new Avatr 11.

At the same time details about the technical part became known.

The crossover is equipped with two electric motors (it is not reported yet whether it is a standard or top modification), which together develop up to 578 hp.

They are complemented by a 90.38-kilowatt battery, thanks to which the Chinese model can travel about 600 kilometers without recharging.

The length of the Chinese novelty is 4880 mm, width — 1970 mm, height — 1601 mm. The distance between the electric motors is 2975 mm.

Despite these dimensions, the new Avatr 11 is likely to reach the market only in 5-seat version.

At least the developers have not announced a three-row version of the electric crossover yet.

Chinese novelty stands out against the competition with its non-standard body design.

However, from behind the Avatr 11 reminds the first crossover Aston Martin DBX. Though, at detailed consideration, it becomes clear that both models are designed in different style.

The Chinese novelty has the roof line descending quickly towards the stern, turning into comparatively compact glass.

At the back it has a poorly developed spoiler, under which the LED strip, acting as a lantern, is extended.

The front part of the body looks more interesting. And the production version of the Avatr 11 is slightly different from its prototype.

Chinese novelty has adopted from the concept the original optics, made in the form of thin LED strips, laid next to the hood, and a long LED strip, which has the shape of a boomerang.

At the front of the crossover instead of the radiator grille there is a plug, under which is placed a trapezoidal air intake.

The new Avatr 11 promises to be one of the most technologically advanced electric cars.

It has three lidar sensors, while most of similar cars are equipped with only one. Also Avatr 11 is equipped with 13 cameras, 12 ultrasonic and six millimeter range radars.

All of this is controlled by a powerful processor, which in combination with other on-board systems will provide a high level of autonomy.

In addition, the Chinese novelty is equipped with a huge touch screen monitor, which transferred the management of all on-board electronics.

The sports style of the car is emphasized by bucket seats in the first row, trimmed with leather, and a multifunction steering wheel with beveled bottom.

Behind it hides a relatively compact cluster of digital instruments.

Probably, the crossover will also be equipped with a projection display with augmented reality support.
